Description
Pollard Banknote companies, American Games and International Gamco are seeking a highly motivated individual to join their Technical Artist team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of artwork that is to be printed, including all games and support materials. They must also create state submittals according to the game development books, which must meet the state regulations for approval. The Technical Artist must have strong attention to detail, be able to troubleshoot artwork problems, and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):
- • Handle a high volume of work within timelines given.
- • Ensure work is prioritized and completed effectively and efficiently to meet deadlines
- • Ensure work is up to date with printing and quality standards as stated in the Game Development books
- • Ensure custom work meets all customer related specifications to the customer satisfaction
- • Maintain professional communication with all parties in a manner that is clear and concise
- • Keep updated on all Pollard Games products
- • Demonstrate good judgement and problem solving
- • Create all artwork needed for State submittal including ticket front, symbols, and flares.
- • Create game support materials for both custom, lottery and stock games
- • Check all artwork from the creative artist to the game development books and approved art for correctness
- • Supply proofreaders with all needed files and books to check the art
- • Create 1 up art and impose all ticket fronts including all black plate changes for stock and custom games
- • Ensure that all artwork going to press in meet the instructions from the game development.
- • Produce any and all material for the websites and/or game collections
- • Maintain good file management ensuring all files on the server are up to date and only the files that went to press.
- • Produce in-house or trade show promotional material as requested
- • Full-fill all requests for art files as needed
- v Problem solving and troubleshooting, consultation and continued education or training
- • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- • Post-Secondary education; degree, diploma or certificate in Graphic Arts Design, Digital Media Design or Graphic and Print Technician
- • Minimum 3 years' experience in graphic design and/or digital media design. Experience in a print environment is preferred
- • Experience in offset printing is an asset
- • Proficient use of Mac computers
- • Technical Art creation using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop)
- • Proficient pixel and vector image manipulation
- • Typesetting and layout skills
- • Color management
- • Written and verbal communication skills
- • Workflow knowledge
- • Graphic Design theory
- • Understanding of printing processes (offset)
- • Knowledge of workflow
- • Ability to effectively manage large number of electronic file documentation in a networked environment
- • Ability to interpret written instructions and prize structures effectively and translate them into printable files
- • Ability to plan and prioritize work and manage time in order to meet strict deadlines.
