Description
LCC International University is looking for a full-time professor to teach Ethics and Worldviews in the fall semester of 2023. The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable and experienced in the field of philosophy, and have the ability to teach core curriculum courses as well as advanced philosophy courses, Bible, history of world civilizations, and arts and culture. The position also requires the professor to maintain an active research portfolio and participate in the intellectual life of the campus. This is a great opportunity for candidates who are passionate about teaching and have the necessary skills to contribute to the development of the university.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- ○ Teaching core classes in Philosophy
- ○ Conducting, presenting, and publishing original research in the area of specialty
Responsibilities may include:
- ○ Teaching advanced courses in a specialized area
- ○ Providing thesis advising to students
- ○ Teaching in a related area: history of world civilizations, Bible or arts and culture
- ○ Community service
- ○ Student ministry
Job Requirements:
- ○ Ph.D. in philosophy, or closely related field by the time of appointment, or a Master’s degree in philosophy, with at least three years of related work experience;
- ○ Demonstrated competence in teaching at the undergraduate level;
- ○ Demonstrated commitment to education that is student-centered and from a Christian worldview;
- ○ Demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of a culturally diverse student body.
