CAMRIS seeks a Senior Health Policy Advisor for an upcoming USAID Philippines, Pacific Islands and Mongolia Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Activity (PIMMELA).
Responsibilities:
- • Provide technical support in monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) throughout the project cycle, including developing MEL plans, monitoring the implementation of workplan activities, supporting the development of technical products and reporting, etc.
- • Strengthen health information management systems (HIMS).
- • Participate in the design, evaluation, and reporting of USAID activities.
- • Develop and implement dissemination strategies for applying research findings to strengthen project implementation and policy development and implementation.
- • Participate in meetings with Mission, IPs, and other stakeholders.
- • Guide Mission and IPs in developing a culture of data use for decision-making.
- • Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- • A master’s degree in public health, public policy, or public administration.
- • Seven or more years of experience in health policy and public health program implementation and/or research.
- • Sound understanding of MEL systems and processes.
- • Experience in developing strategies to build the human and institutional capacity of partners, as well as analytical methods to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of capacity-building activities.
- • Experience developing MEL technical reports.
- • Experience in oral and written communication skills relating to policy analysis, cross-cultural negotiation, and presentation of research findings.
- • Prior experience with USAID is highly preferred.
