New Opportunities with Postdoctoral Fellowships at Beijing Normal University
Beijing Normal University (BNU) is one of the top universities under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education. Established in 1902, BNU has a long and rich history of providing excellence in education. With its faculties of teacher education, education science, science and humanities, BNU has earned recognition from the "211 Project" and the first phase of the "985 Project". In 2017, BNU was listed in the Category-A “ Double First-Class Project (First-Class University &First-Class Disciplines)”. In 2022, 12 disciplines of BNU were listed in the second round of "Double First-Class Project". To increase its international prestige, BNU has established a high-caliber systemfor the development of disciplines and a “ One university, Two Branches ” pattern with two branches, BNU Beijing and BNU Zhuhai. 1. Applicants should hold PhD degrees from well-known universities or researchinstitutes in China or abroad. Applicants applying for Liyun Postdoctoral ProgramandPostdoctoral Program at BNU Zhuhai (Category One) should be eligible for National
programs, such as the National Postdoctoral Program for Innovative Talents andPostdoctoral International Exchange Program.
2. Applicants should be under the age of 35 and received their PhD for less than3years prior to their postdoctoral application Full-time work at BNU is required duringthe postdoctoral program.
3. Applicants for all types of postdoctoral program (not including Category-Bpostdoctoral program) should meet the admission criteria of the host college.
How to Apply:
To apply for the Postdoctoral Fellowships at Beijing Normal University, applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Hold a PhD degree from a well-known university or research institute in China or abroad.
2. Be under the age of 35 and have received their PhD for less than 3 years prior to their postdoctoral application.
3. Meet the admission criteria of the host college.
The application process involves submitting an application to the postdoctoral supervisor or host college. After the announcement of the shortlist, BNU will conduct expert panel evaluations to determine the successful candidates.
The remuneration and benefits for each fellowship depend on the type of program and relevant policies. For example, successful candidates of the Liyun Postdoctoral Program may receive an annual pre-tax salary of 300,000 RMB, plus a housing subsidy of 50,000 RMB per year.
In addition, successful candidates may be eligible for other benefits, such as applying for a research start-up fee of 50,000 yuan and registering their children for Beijing Normal University affiliated school/kindergarten during their stay at BNU.

are already enrolled at Hokkaido University can not apply for this fellowship. Applicants must be self-supporting,
without other scholarships or fellowships when enrolling in Hokkaido University.
(2) Applicants must possess a GPA that is in the top 25% of their class or an equivalent level at their home
university (Applicants who possess equivalent GPA levels must be certified by the president of their home
university).
How to Apply:
(1) Applicants must submit the above documents to their university.
(2) Each affiliated University must select ONE candidate, and send the required documents to Hokkaido
University within the application period.
