Advance Your Studies with Tomlinson Doctoral Fellowships 2023, Canada
The Tomlinson Doctoral Fellowship is open to international students and is a competitive award. A selection committee evaluates each application according to the applicant's academic credentials, research experience, and potential for success in the proposed field of study. The selection committee also considers the applicant's ability to contribute to the McGill community and the advancement of knowledge in the field. In addition, applicants must demonstrate the ability to complete their studies within the allotted time frame and write a research proposal that outlines their proposed research project.
The deadline for the Tomlinson Doctoral Fellowship is 25 May 2023 and successful applicants will receive funding for up to five years. The Fellowship provides students with the chance to pursue their research goals and make a significant contribution to the field of science, engineering, and technology. It also provides them with an opportunity to gain invaluable experience in the academic environment and build their professional network.
- • The Tomlinson Doctoral Fellowships are for incoming students accepted into a doctoral degree at McGill University with a start date of Fall 2023. Students currently enrolled at McGill, or whose latest degree was completed or in progress at McGill, are ineligible. Former McGill students who later completed a graduate degree elsewhere may apply. Visiting students at McGill, who are completing the requirements for a degree from another university, may apply.
- • Only applicants with a first class academic record. McGill considers a first class GPA to be 3.7 (or 3.5 in Law) in each of the last two (2) years of full-time study at the undergraduate and post-graduate level.
