With our Communications Role, we have a mid-level individual contributor who is responsible for developing and executing effective communications strategies that inform, educate and engage our employees on the company and its initiatives, customers, culture and products. This person also manages external communications program in India, including managing PR agency resources as needed. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- • Minimum of 4 years of content creation and proofreading experience in various forms of written communications.
- • Supporting the development and execution of communications strategies.
- • Leveraging common processes and resources needed to drive engagement and position the functions as a critical partner.
- • Implementing innovative and best-in-class communication practices and strategies into functional communication plans to strengthen business leaders as communicators and improve the quality of communications from the functions.
- • Supporting the creation of ongoing functional content including email, newsletters, feature articles, multi-media, mobile applications, publications, senior leader presentations and speaking engagements.
- • Managing projects effectively to ensure timely follow-up, follow-through and that deadlines are met.
- • Ensuring all materials meet internally-set quality and consistency standards.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS –
- • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing or related area.
- • Experience coordinating detailed projects and timelines.
- • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to manage complex, multifaceted programs with accuracy
Principal Duties and Responsibilities –
- • Responsible for development of copy for communication initiatives, including internal communication, direct mail, print advertising, and corporate communication. Draft copy that will be used in marketing programs for new and incremental campaigns to increase customer acquisition, retention, and cross selling.
- • Gain deep understanding of the company’s products, services, and creative rules to support the development of copy for a variety of topics. Ability to comprehend complex information regarding products and policies and help distill these into easy-to-understand language that supports the corporate strategy.
- • Develop creative briefs. Draft copy to appeal to the intended target audience and achieve messaging goals. Partner with designers and vendors to produce creative that meets the corporate objectives as outlined in concept briefs.
- • Proofread and edit advertising and communications produced internally and externally. Watch for quality standards, such as typographic errors, grammar, punctuation, spelling, and accuracy of product information. Provide editorial functions, such as consistency in tone, style, and clarity of language.
- • Maintain and own the corporate advertising rules and guidelines. Ensure creative complies with these rules, such as brand style guide, advertising rules, and departmental procedures.
- • Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of multiple creative priorities simultaneously. Responsible for the creation and maintenance of the campaign creative schedule. Monitor and track progress of creative being developed by vendors and internally. Communicate urgent priorities and keep all parts of the process on schedule.
- • Participate in cross-functional project teams to develop marketing initiatives. Work closely with designers and subject matter experts to develop content requirements for existing and proposed materials. Stay current on best practices.
- • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work closely with others internally and externally.
