What you’ll experience working at UL:
The Senior Program Manager leads a group of programs that share common attributes and could be considered part of an operating department. They provide governance, oversight and coaching of projects and very large, strategic and complex programs. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: *1. Responsible for managing the implementation of very large, strategic and complex programs
*2. Provides overall leadership and support to one or more program or project teams
*3. Acts as front-line contact on program related activities, issues, and risks. Manages risks and issues and takes corrective measurements
*4. Interfaces with C-Suite Executives and Business Unit Leaders, Finance and develops ROI, IRR and other financial measures, and with Purchasing, develops POs, and manages suppliers and vendor relationships. Manages stakeholders’ communication
*5. Plans the overall program and monitors the progress, and performs daily program management throughout the program life cycle
*6. Defines the program governance (controls)
*7. Manages the program’s budget and financial performance
*8. Coordinates the programs and their interdependencies
*9. Manages and utilizes resources across programs and projects
*10. May manage the performance of direct reports by defining accountabilities, establishing performance objectives and goals, providing feedback and guidance and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to.
*11. Oversees a larger collection of projects that may be considered a sub-portfolio in nature, may manage multiple programs/projects and related program/project managers.
*12. Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices.
*13. Performs other duties as directed.
